I looked at the title I gave this card and thought "Wow...that sounds like a downer!". But that wasn't really my thought. I was thinking that although I love the summer with all it's sunshine and bright colors, I do love fall a little more. Maybe because I'm in the autumn of my life. I love the slowing down of it all. I guess that's hard to explain. I love the cozying in of it. The fall colors speak to me. Most of our home is done in fall colors. I've noticed I tend to gravitate to them when I'm making color choices. I also love that it's not too hot and not too cold when I'm out and about....I like the comfort of that. Funny thing is that when spring and summer come around I'll be ready for them...thinking about how I love the emerging of all the beautiful bright colors in the garden, the longer sunlit days and the joy of feeling the warm sun on my face. Call me fickle. I guess what I really love is the blessing of the changing seasons. (Except for winter...all the ice and sleet make me cringe.) I love seeing the newly fallen snow embracing all the curves and angles of God's creation. I've learned over the years to take notice of all the Intricate Beauty of each season and that has really enriched my life. Thanks for looking and listening.

Oh, Ellen, I love this card and the beautiful colors! And what fabulous dies. I truly "get" what you are saying completely - and agree! I too am in the autumn of my years and just love the cozy feeling of slowing down and like it not too hot nor cold! Living here in South Florida (and having A/C), we enjoy beautiful weather most of the year. So I agree with you and love that you've shared this lovely card and your heart with us! You are a treasure, sweet friend! Sending hugs!

Okay, what's going on? Did you not just tell me you've not been feelin' your mojo the last few days? Well, what do you call this? Elegant and unencumbered with needless things. There's beauty in CAS creations as much as there's beauty in all God's creation. I can't tolerate the summer's humidity so I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of Fall although I don't care for Fall colors like you do. Hope things are going better for you and your husband.
